Ordering and Volunteering at our canteen

The canteen is operated by the P&C and is staffed by parents, carers, grandparents and volunteers on a voluntary basis on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week, providing lunches and snacks.

Students are asked to order their lunches before school, to ensure that everything is ready once the lunch bell rings. All students are provided with a reusable lunch bag when enrolling. Lunch orders can be added to the bag with money and handed to the canteen before 9:00am. Lunches are collected by teachers or lunch monitors and handed out to the students at the beginning of Lunch 1.  Snacks can be purchased directly from the canteen at both lunch breaks.

Parent/carer help: Parents/carers, grandparents and volunteers are more than welcome to assist with the running of the canteen. It is only possible to run a successful canteen with this assistance. Details are available from the canteen supervisor.

If you are wanting to assist in the school canteen, please contact the P&C and request a Declaration for Volunteers and Non-Child Related workers form for any parents/carers, grandparents, this is a departmental document that Dungog Public School is required to have verified by the P&C. You will also need to provide the P&C a Drivers Licence for ID.  If you are unable to provide a licence, you can provide 100 points of ID.
